“While looking out my kitchen window, it brought me great joy to see Joyce empowering a group of people to connect deeply with nature at this uncertain time.”

Jimi Blake, Hunting Brook Gardens, August 2020

Expeditions & Nature Journal Events

I offer monthly Expeditions to Hunting Brook Gardens, the home of Jimi Blake, plant collector and author, is a place of outstanding charm, with a woodland, meadow and megalithic remains. We also visit June Blake’s garden which is a tapestry of colours, with a pond, archeological remains and a barn with swallows nesting.

Treat yourself to a day out like no other! Have time for some Forest Bathing, seeing exotic plants and connecting with others.

You go home totally chilled out, inspired and happy.

On Being with Trees…

“We need to learn to be conscious in that moment that’s when the magic happens. With trees you get alignment, you‘re getting the message from pure Source. It’s without judgement, it’s true love.”

- Jimi Blake, Hunting Brook Gardens

Nature Journal Events

Keeping a Nature journal is a personal thing to do and very relaxing. During my Nature Journal events you will take notes, sketch or make field notes of things which you notice in the wilderness or by the sea. This very act of paying attention makes a connection that didn’t exist before and you find yourself falling in love with nature.

Those who say “ but I am no good at drawing” are surprised at how the pencil miles enables them depict what they see. It is not about making pretty pictures but finding out more and more about even the most ordinary things.

Nature Journaling is the greatest hobby ever, no matter what age you are.

“Joyce’s enthusiasm and knowledge is a joy to watch and listen to. Our residents love attending Joyce’s sessions and we cannot recommend her highly enough. Thank you for bringing so much fun and laughter.”

-Anne Marie Woods, Director of Nursing, Care Choice Newtownpark House Blackrock Co. Dublin.
